VIBRATION DAMPING OF BEAM-TYPE STRUCTURES OF PUBLIC BUILDING “SE CULTURE AND SPORT COMMERCIAL CENTER “CONCERN STIROL”
The article considers the dynamic test of beam-like elements installed on the facade of SE CULTURE AND SPORT COMMERCIAL CENTER “CONCERN STIROL” (city of Gorlovka) in reconstruction. To damp the vibration of such elements, a dynamic damper has been proposed. According to the architectural idea of the facade, these elements are consoles which are not connected with each other and have an overhang of 6-7 m. They are exposed to the effects of vortex excitation of vibrations in the wind flow, which can lead to sustained vibration of the higher level across the wind flow.
In the process of the project implementation there was the need for outdoor determination of dynamic parameters of these structures and application of special dynamic dampers. Dynamic dampers for such structures have been designed, manufactured and installed to reduce the vibration amplitudes in the resonant mode. Full-scale dynamic performance testing of the structures with dampers and without them have been performed to obtain the information about the effectiveness of their application.
